My official foray into winemaking took place in 2001, although the seed was planted many years earlier when my family established their Adelaide Hills vineyard in 1991. My previous career path, marine biology and aquaculture, brought me to Tasmania where I took up a vintage cellarhand position to help pay the rent whilst undertaking post graduate research.

Chilli, our ever faithful rug (well, more of a doormat really), came to us via the Launceston pound. Since then, life has been pretty good. If she’s not chasing wallabies out of the vineyard, she’s soaking up the sun overlooking her new domain.
