This unique single-vineyard wine has been grown, vinified, bottled and hand-disgorged on site.
Méthode Traditionelle. A testament to the world-class quality of the Pipers River region for sparkling wine production.
The wine is the result of carefully hand-harvested fruit from the mature pinot noir vines of Delamere Vineyard,
reflecting the site's distinctive soil and location. Showing true sparkling rosé characters, it has a medium salmon colour and
aromas of strawberry and musk, with the added complexity of lanolin and toast. The palate boasts unctuous red berry fruits,
complemented by earthy, mushroom characters, and the finish is fine but with firm, savoury tannins. It has persistent flavours
finishing with crisp natural acidity. This premium sparkling will suit most foods, owing to its complexity and savoury tannin structure.
Close-planted vines at 7500/ha on own roots, low trellis, non-irrigated, cane pruned vertical shoot position. It is a blend of D5V12 and MV6 clones.
The Non-Vintage Sparkling Rosé is a blend of the 2009, 2010 and 2011 vintages. The 2011 season was notoriously challenging in Tasmania,
so the addition of reserve wines from the high quality but low production 2009 and 2010 vintages has enabled the production of a complex wine consistent with the Delamere house style.
